City of Palmdale
Valued Client Since: 2008

Incorporated in 1962, Palmdale has grown from a small rural town to a thriving community encompassing over 104 square miles. Over the last 25 years this city has consistently been ranked in the top 25 fastest growing cities in the United States.

The city places a high value on economic development; since 1990, 20,344 new jobs have been created and a combined nine million square feet of industrial, retail, restaurant and commercial development has been added. In addition, Palmdale's recent choice to partner with FilmL.A. made our services available to the city's 145,000 residents and expanded filmmaker access to locations throughout its 104 square-mile jurisdiction.

While Palmdale is still a part of Los Angeles County, the urbanized centers of Palmdale and Los Angeles are separated by the San Gabriel mountain range, which is about 40 miles (60 km) wide. This range forms the southern edge of the Antelope Valley portion of the Mojave Desert.

Palmdale is the largest and principal city of the Antelope Valley, and the fourth largest city overall in the Mojave Desert by population, outstripped only by Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas, Nevada.
