FilmLA was informed today that the City of Los Angeles Harbor Department, which oversees operations at the Port of Los Angeles, will be closed during normal business hours from Monday, 11/22/21 through 11/26/21 due to limited staffing and the Thanksgiving holiday.
Filmmakers who anticipate filming in areas requiring Harbor Department approval are encouraged to file permit applications with FilmLA as soon as possible.

Filming Week of 11/14
Three-day permit processing window applies for standard activity permits.
Filming Week of 11/21
Permit approvals for this week must be finalized by Friday, 11/19. Applicants should allow a minimum of three days for processing. Applications received after 2:00 p.m. on the 11/17 will be declined.
Filming Week of 11/28
Permit approvals for filming from Monday, 11/29 through Wednesday, 12/1 must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on the 11/17 and finalized by 11/19. Non-complex requests to film on Thursday, 12/2 will receive department consideration beginning Monday, 11/29.
