The City of Los Angeles Park Film Office (PFO) has informed FilmLA that due to COVID-19 related staff shortages, the standard time required to process reservations and permits for filming at park facilities has temporarily been extended.
Effective January 12, 2022, the standard 72 hours processing window has been extended to five full business days, prior to the first planned day of filming activity. Weekends do not count toward the five day requirement, as the Park Film Office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Together with our Park Film Office colleagues, we ask that the production community take note of this extension and be patient as we apply the new rules to popular park properties in the FilmLA Reservations system. While the system will not prevent you from reserving properties with fewer than five business days’ notice, please use care in submitting your request. Any reservations submitted January 12, 2022 or later and outside of the five business day processing window will be administratively canceled.
