In an ongoing effort to provide future filming opportunities on active roads in Southern California, the LAX Film Office and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) have notified FilmL.A. that there will be a temporary holiday moratorium on any permit requests for closures and/or rolling breaks on any roadways within a four (4) mile radius of LAX Airport. The moratorium will last from November 20, 2017 – November 27, 2017 and December 18, 2017- January 5, 2018.
This short term measure, taken after careful review, will continue to ensure that the LAX area remains viable for more anticipated filming requests after the holiday season has concluded.
Consideration of permit requests for filming prior to or after the moratorium dates will continue to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
For questions about the LAX Moratorium or for answers to general production related questions, please contact FilmL.A.’s Production Planning team at 213.977.8600.
